Sticky Web, Inc. Announces SPAM Fighting Protocol; Industry Trends Play into Company's Key Strength

April 10, 2006 - Sticky Web, Inc. an intellectual property company with key Internet, software and business method patents in e-mail and e-commerce announced today that its e-mail patent provides a unique solution to guarantee delivery and fight SPAM.

While legislative enforcement has proved largely ineffective in fighting SPAM, Sticky Web, Inc.'s management has determined that the principal weapon against SPAM is to establish a true OPT-IN database of names by which delivery of e-mail communications can be both guaranteed and certified. Sticky Web, Inc. occupies the unique market position of holding patent number 6,631,400, the principal e-mail system patent that directly addresses the methodology of OPT-IN emails, guaranteed delivery and certification.

Major multinational Internet portal companies such as Time Warner, Inc.'s, (NYSE:TWX) America Online division and Yahoo, Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) have planned to launch certified e-mail services that would bypass SPAM filters and deliver messages directly to subscribers. Both companies stated that they plan to charge 1/4 to 1 cent per e-mail delivered to their subscribers. AOL and Yahoo hope to curtail SPAM by raising the unit cost of an e-mail message.

As reported in a February 5, 2006, New York Times article, SPAM currently makes up 60 percent of the 25 billion e-mail messages sent each day accounting for some for 15 billion e-mail messages.

Sticky Web, Inc.'s CEO, Tom DiStefano, commented on the industry saying, "Raising the delivery cost of commercial OPT-IN e-mail is gaining traction as an accepted cost of business marketing." He continued, "Raising the cost of commercial e-mail is a key tool in defeating the illegitimate bulk e-mailers responsible for the SPAM epidemic by creating a pricing structure for delivery of OPT-IN e-mail that bars entry to Spammers."
