September 05, 2007 - Perfect Web Technologies, Inc., a technology company that provides B2B2C marketing solutions, invented and owns key Internet, software and business method patents and provides financial merchant services commented today on its patent portfolio.

With two patents issued, additional patents applications presently are under examination in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Technological elements that are disclosed in the patent portfolio include managing bulk e-mail distribution, developing and posting electronic documents, electronic document collaboration, managing access to electronic documents, and a system that provides e-commerce and marketing tools.

On March 29, 2007 the Company filed a patent infringement lawsuit against infoUSA alleging infringement of U.S. Patent No. 6,631,400 by infoUSA.

The estimated market spending on permission-based, or OPT-IN, e-mail marketing has grown to over $7.3 billion in 2005 and to nearly $10 billion in 2006 according to independent studies. The studies do not include revenues generated from illegal SPAM.

Method For Authoring, Developing, And Posting Electronic Documents is a Web authoring patent that relates to a system for authoring, developing, and posting electronic documents which includes an author computer and a developer system.

Method Of Moderating External Access To An Electronic Document Authoring, Development And Distribution System is a security and commerce patent that relates to a system that moderates access to an electronic document authoring, development and distribution system without risking the abuse of the system by the potential customer.

Method For Developing Electronic Documents Providing E-Commerce Tools is an e-commerce patent that relates to a system of providing marketing arrangements between multiple websites, web pages and providing e-commerce features.

The Company has a divisional patent application on the 6,771,291 patent to broaden its claims. That protects the way people interact with and create electronic documents by using multiple screens or windows. As the Internet technologies and software have matured the '291 patent protects what has evolved as electronic document creation and communication on the Web.
